Community Sponsorship is a way for communities across the UK to help refugees find safety and rebuild their lives.

With the introduction of "Named Sponsorship", for the first time, community groups will be able to identify and sponsor specific people they want to welcome to the UK. This creates powerful new possibilities: a school welcoming a pupil’s family; a church sponsoring persecuted Christians; a community group supporting LGBTQ+ individuals at risk; a sports club sponsoring displaced athletes; or a veteran sponsoring someone they served alongside.

As the UK's future primary refugee resettlement route, Named Community Sponsorship has the potential to help thousands of people find safety while strengthening the communities that welcome them.
